Entergy PLANT™ Implementation Reaches Key Milestone
From Contract to Implementation: Progress So Far
In May, we announced our partnership with Entergy Nuclear to transform their training programs using the PLANT™ platform. Now, the Entergy PLANT™ implementation has reached a key milestone. Accelerant Solutions completed the conversion of Initial Operator and Non-Licensed Operator systems training at Riverbend Station, Waterford 3, and Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. The development project began in April 2024 and finished in December 2024. It also included Maintenance and Technical systems training at Waterford 3. Additionally, the team digitized the Fleet Maintenance and Technical Tier 0 lessons.
Key Milestones Achieved
The project team worked closely with station personnel to complete over 4,000 tasks. This effort led to the creation of 465 Interactive Presentations in the PLANT™ platform. The on-premises PLANT™ platform will contain libraries for each Entergy business unit. This builds on the Entergy Enterprise project that was completed earlier. Over 60 instructors received a one-week, on-site training course. They learned how to develop and manage training content using the PLANT™ software. In addition, Accelerant Solutions developed drafts for SAT procedure changes and a change management plan, working with the Entergy team to prepare for the successful implementation of this innovative training solution.
What’s Next for Entergy PLANT™ Implementation?
Work continues in 2025 as Accelerant Solutions upgrades over 250 Interactive Presentations completed at Arkansas Nuclear One in 2020, converting Learning Guides from a previous software version to the Interactive Presentation format.
Meanwhile, Accelerant Solutions participates in the Entergy PLANT™ Steering Committee to monitor progress and support implementation efforts across the Entergy organization. Future plans include integrating the PLANT™ platform with one or more Entergy databases to automate training content updates. The overall goal of this innovative initiative is to improve training quality through student engagement. It also aims to streamline content maintenance for instructors. Additionally, the project will incorporate adaptive and blended learning methods to reduce student training time. Stay tuned for a future update later this year.
