Deep Fission Selects NEXA® for Quality Assurance and Engineering Training
Maumee, OH — Accelerant Solutions today announced that Deep Fission, Inc. has selected NEXA® — the Nuclear Excellence Academy — to deliver quality assurance, operations, and engineering training for its first-of-its-kind underground small modular reactor program.
This initiative builds on the multi-year Master Services Agreement announced earlier this year, marking the first major scope of work under the strategic partnership.
NEXA® is a turnkey centralized training solution designed for the nuclear industry. Under this agreement, Deep Fission’s engineers and quality assurance professionals will receive training aligned to industry standards, designed to equip them with the knowledge and credentials to support reactor development from design through operation.
For Deep Fission, NEXA® will provide a fully integrated training infrastructure, allowing the company to focus on reactor development while building a qualified workforce in parallel.
“We’re excited to partner with NEXA to build the highly skilled workforce needed to support our technology,” said Mike Brasel, Chief Operating Officer at Deep Fission. “Having a training partner that understands nuclear quality and engineering standards is critical to executing safely and effectively.”
Deep Fission, a 2025 selectee for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Pilot Reactor Program, is developing underground small modular reactors.
“We’re proud to support Deep Fission as they build the workforce behind this groundbreaking technology,” said Billy Mack, President of Accelerant Solutions. “NEXA was designed to help companies reach workforce readiness — and Deep Fission is showing what that looks like in action.”
Training is already underway, with additional phases of collaboration expected as Deep Fission continues to work toward commercialization.
