Westinghouse’s PLANT™ Gets Even Better: New Features to Power Up Your Learning Experience

Westinghouse’s PLANTTM Learning Content Management System is constantly evolving to make learning more intuitive, flexible, and impactful. We’ve listened to your feedback and are thrilled to announce several major upgrades that take the platform to the next level. The new features, coupled with the jointly developed training materials from Accelerant Solutions and Westinghouse’s long history of expertise, continue to Power Up Your Learning Experience.

Whether you’re an educator, administrator, or learner, these new features are designed to streamline your workflows, enhance collaboration, and give you more control than ever before.

Here’s what’s new:

LMS Integration – Seamless Learning, Unified Experience

Say goodbye to scattered systems and hello to a fully connected experience. With the new LMS Integration, Westinghouse’s PLANTTM now plays nicely with the learning management systems you already use.

What this means for you:

  • Sync courses, user data, and progress in real time
  • Single sign-on (SSO) support for frictionless access
  • Keep learners engaged without forcing them to juggle platforms

Whether you use SAP, Success Factors, Canvas, or another LMS, Westinghouse’s PLANTTM ensures everything works together smoothly—so you can focus on delivering great learning, not managing tech.

And now, when you launch a lesson plan directly from your LMS, the experience is even more seamless. Previously, if you weren’t logged in to Westinghouse’s PLANTTM, you’d be redirected to the main page after logging in—forcing you to track down the lesson again. Now, you’re taken straight to the lesson plan you intended to view, without extra clicks or confusion. This not only streamlines access, but also highlights the importance of launching lessons from the LMS.

Presenter Mode – Engage Like a Pro

Need to deliver a live training or workshop through Westinghouse’s PLANT? Our all-new Presenter Mode turns your content into a dynamic presentation tool.

Key benefits:

  • Streamlined layout optimized for live, in-class delivery
  • Presenter notes and presenter mode options tailored for instructor preference
  • Real-time interactions and Q&A with learners

It’s like having your own virtual stage—ideal for webinars, instructor-led sessions, and live demonstrations.

Customized Roles & Permissions – You’re in Control

Not every team member needs the same access—and now, they don’t have to. With Customized Roles and Permissions, you can assign exactly the right level of access to each user.

Capabilities include:

  • Create tailored roles like “Reviewer,” “Content Manager,” or “SME”
  • Set permissions for creating, editing, approving, or viewing content
  • Maintain security and clarity across your teams

Whether you’re a global enterprise or a small training team, this update gives you the power to manage users your way.

Email Notifications – Stay in the Loop, Automatically

We get it—life gets busy. That’s why Automated Email Notifications have been added to keep everyone on track without manual reminders.

Notification triggers include:

  • New workflow assignments
  • New workflow contributor alert

You can customize who gets what, when, and how often. It’s the perfect blend of automation and personalization, keeping training program contributors engaged and informed at every step.

What’s Next?

These updates are just the beginning. We’re committed to making the services we provide even more valuable with an improved Westinghouse’s PLANTTM platform to support every learning journey.

As always, your feedback drives innovation—so keep it coming.

Stay connected. Stay learning. Stay growing. With Westinghouse’s PLANTTM.
