Job Description — 1 Openings:
Electrical Maintenance Training Instructor
JOB TYPE: Accredited Program Trainer
LOCATION: On Site
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide instruction to site Electrical Maintenance technicians using industry accredited program materials integrated with the latest innovative training products and techniques in accordance with all industry and federal standards.
NUMBER OF FTE’s NEEDED:2
TIME LINE: Current to November 2026
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze, Design, develop and implement the Electrical Maintenance training program.
- Integrate program curriculum into a predictable training schedule.
- Analyze student performance gaps and apply appropriate remediation.
- Analyze exam results for understanding of student and/or program shortfalls.
- Provide oversight of student behaviors and demonstration of knowledge comprehension
- Resolve programmatic gaps from student feedback and management observations.
- Timely communication of program challenges and student academic performance gaps
- Maintain program configuration control through the Vision™ software database.
- Apply “Adaptive Learning” as appropriate.
- Execute GDAR mode for missing milestones, program delays, and gaps identified under self-assessments.
- Implement On-The-Job -Training (OJT) and laboratory evaluations.
- Participate in Academic Review Boards
- In field observations of Electrical Maintenance technicians
- Maintain relationship with the line organization by participating, as needed, in hiring/selection process, training committees, job performance analysis and peer group calls.
Job Qualifications
Education:
- BS degree preferred (not required) in engineering/physical science or equivalent experience
- Preferred INPO or site certified instructor of accredited program
Experience: Training
- Preferred: 5+ years of providing knowledge and skills-based training to electrical maintenance technicians in a nuclear accredited program, or
- 5+ years of training electrical maintenance technicians in non-nuclear field
- 5+ years in designing accredited nuclear training programs; Schedule/Curriculum/Governance, or
- 5+ years in designing non-nuclear training programs for electrical maintenance technicians
- Preferred – 5+ years as an electrical maintenance technician or supervisor.
OR
Non-Nuclear field experience
- 5+ years non-nuclear electrical maintenance technician or supervisor (e.g. gas, oil, coal, hydro, chemical. manufacturing)
